ABOUT OATES TRAVEL

A professional, family-run coach hire and tour company, established for over 44 years and based in the heart of the beautiful Duchy of Cornwall on the South western tip of Britain.

From our home in the historic harbour town and artistic centre of St Ives, we offer a comprehensive range of services from basic coach hire to full tour planning, group travel, corporate hospitality, port and airport transfers and incoming tour handling.

Passengers can rest assured that they are in safe hands with our very experienced staff – most have been with us for many years and much of our success is due to their friendly, helpful and efficient service.

We offer reliable and high-quality service with a modern fleet driven by experienced, friendly drivers and can accommodate from 1 to 53 passengers. Onboard facilities include seat belts, reclining seats, air conditioning, toilet/washroom, hot drinks & TV/video.

Our fleet is maintained to a high standard by our own engineers on our modern premises. We place great importance on maintenance, not only for the safety of our passengers but also for the reliability of our vehicles. We are members of the Confederation of Passenger Transport and the Coach Tourism Council.

Please note that due to the continued difficulty in recruiting qualified staff we regret that we are currently unable to run any day trips. However, we are still able to cater for private hire so please get in touch.

The Exeter Christmas market in located in the ground of the beautiful Exeter Cathedral. A wonderfully festive mix of stores awaits you.

You will arrive and have 5 hours to shop and eat your way round then back on the coach at 4pm & home by 7pm.

Exeter Ikea shopping trip. A trip to Ikea is always a welcome event and with enough storage space to accommodate even the most prolific shopper, you will be able to bring the kitchen sink back with you.

MERCEDES SPRINTER

19 SEATER

The 19 seater is perfect for small groups, of all kinds – WI’s, walkers, local societies, friends, families, tourists, visitors from abroad and port/airport transfers. All seats are fitted with 3 point seat belts and armrests to aid your comfort. A large boot for luggage and a fridge for cooling your drinks. A microphone and PA is also available for use by a tour guide or group organiser if required.

MERCEDES TOURINO

30/32 SEATER

This fleet of 30 and 32 seaters are medium sized Executive Coaches ideal for touring around our tight Cornish lanes. Booked individually for small groups or book all three if you need to transport a large group of people.

Fitted with seatbelts, seat back tables and foot rests these coaches are also fully Air-conditioned, have onboard toilets and DVD players for your passengers comfort.

SCANIA IRIZAR PB

49 SEATER

This Executive Coach is perfect for large groups of all kinds; WI’s, walkers, local societies, friends, families, tourists and visitors from abroad. We specialise in port/airport transfers. This coach comes with a small servery which includes coffee facilities, a drinks fridge, two rear tables and an onboard toilet. All seats are fitted with 3 point seat belts and an armrests, to aid your comfort. A microphone and PA is also available for use by a tour guide or group organiser if required.
